Diabetes clinic

We have a diabetes clinic in Barton Hill. Diabetes is when a person’s blood sugar becomes too high.

How does the service work?

The nurses in this clinic help people who have diabetes. They also help people who may get diabetes in the future. This is called prediabetes.

Our nurses can talk to you about what to do, so that you stay healthy and the diabetes does not get worse. They can help you manage your weight and exercise. They can also give advice on how to take medicine for diabetes.

The nurses can talk to you about diabetes in different community languages.

Who is it for?

The clinic is for people who already have diabetes or might get it in the future. Your doctor might send you to the clinic if they think you need help with your diabetes.

The clinic is at Barakah Mall, 48 Stapleton Road, BS5 0RA.

Do I need to book?

You need to book to attend this clinic. Most people attend this clinic every week.
