Information for commissioners
Caafi Health is an innovative new healthcare CIC, enhancing the health and wellbeing of Bristol’s underserved diverse communities.
Our aim is to address health inequality by removing barriers to health and care services. We do this by offering health information, advice and support in community locations, available in different community languages and tailored to local needs. Our approach is built around fostering community resilience, enabling individuals to take more control over their health and wellbeing and to make informed choices through improved health literacy. We also provide person-centered care in the home for those who need support with daily living.
Partnering with healthcare providers, we work diligently - through a hyper-localised, grassroots approach - to strengthen community trust and ensure equitable access to health and care services.
Our organisation was founded during the Covid-19 pandemic, when we supported vaccine uptake among under-served communities, through clear, evidence-based guidance. Since then, we have grown rapidly and now have a team of 14

“Huda and her colleagues have been so helpful, supporting some of our most vulnerable patients and liaising with the surgery to ensure we collaboratively get things sorted to the benefit of patient. Very responsive to direct calls, really know what is going on in patients’ lives and what is happening. Just makes so much difference. Great colleagues to have!”
